We had such a beautiful location- This chapel is full of Tiffany Windows!The woodworking and all the touches were exquisite. It was a cool-ish day, but we satt farthest from the open door. We wanted that huge wood door to be open to welcome any late comers.
We ended up just making one small discussion group of 5. It was nice to be so intimate as we had Jen Ward, the librarian from Bach Branch for Albany, who would start hosting her own Death Cafes. We had a nice group of 13 folks gathered in Guilderland Library's largest room. As usual, we sat in groups of 4. People were so involved in their group talks we could hardly break away to share with the others some of what each group discussed. We had people volunteer to scout locations, help host the next one. We even have a couple that professionally designed our flyer for our next one on Monday evening - September 23rd Death Cafe!

The August 2019 Upminster Death Cafe was a surprise success as I feared due to the summer holidays people might have been away or not come. I was pleasantly surprised by the fab turnout and that we had a few new attendees too. A great range of topics discussed but a particular highlight was the topic raised by one attendee of the idea of a ‘death day’ each year. Very interesting!

What a great event we had! I had hoped for a great turnout and there really was. We discussed a huge range of topics but i felt it largely focused on the purpose and ideaology behind death cafe and the death positivity movement which I think really helped me feel these events are worthwhile.
For anyone who struggles to locate the event, I will be better with signposting in the future.

Drei Teilnehmerinnen, 34°C im Schatten und eine ruhiger Tisch im Cafe der Spanischen Hofreitschule auf dem schon gefüllte Wassergläser mit Eiswürfeln auf uns warteten - so begann das Death Cafe seine Jubiläumsedition. Death Cafe Wien hatte seinen 3. Geburtstag. Ein persönlicher und berührenden Austausch über Bestattungswünsche, Bestattungsvorsorge und wie lebensverkürzende Krankheiten die Einstellung zum Leben verändern waren unter Anderem zentrale Themen bei unserem Austausch. Zwei Stunden vergingen im Nu. Wieder einmal wurde der Wunsch nach monatlichen Treffen geäußert und wieder einmal habe ich die Teilnehmerinnen angeregt selbst ein Death Cafe zu veranstalten. 8 Aug 2019 On our national Dying2Know Day we had a total of 11 attend our August South-East Brisbane Death Cafe (8/8/19) . Once again it was a very diverse group of both curious and interested people wanting to talk about all things death and dying... The feedback from participants continues to be positive as we strive to deliver a Death Cafe that would make founder (the late) Jon Underwood proud of. So what did we talk about?

Death Cafe Metro Detroit meets on the 4th Sunday of each month in Henry Ford Hospital's Conference Rooms A & B off the main cafeteria. There is no agenda, presentation, objective ot theme. It is not a bereavement, support or grief counseling group. We create time to discuss death without expectations, and conversations are generated by the group in a confidential and respectable space. The more we talk about death, the more we add to our lives. Death Cafe Metro Detroit is free and open to people of all communities and belief systems. Death Cafe Hyndburn Write up

What an amazing night we had. There was a large turn out of people for this first Death Cafe in our area, l was so happy.
A last minute venue change did not dampen our spirits - the arranged venue had a flood on the day of the cafe and we were lucky to have another cafe closeby agree to stay open to host us - how lucky were we.
Interesting and emotive discussions thorughout the evening, lots of laughter too. Also, some very yummy cakes enjoyed by all.
We met for the first time at a cafe that overlooks the sea. Sixteen people came and the room was packed to capacity. Several people said that they had eagerly waited for a Death Cafe to be established in Dunedin. Some people were involved in caring for the dead and dying and people close to them: an embalmer, a funeral director, a funeral celebrant, an elder lawyer, a rest home carer and a pharmacist. But others were just people interested in death and dying. Everyone could swap stories and share insights because death affects us all.

Первую встречу я хочу провести у себя в кабинете, где проводятся небольшие тренинги. Ковёр, мягкие подушечки, кресла, стулья - для каждого найдется подходящее место. С меня помещение, уют и организация, с вас присутствие, и было бы просто супер, если печеньки принесёте!
