About AnnascaulCafe:
My name is Aidan Gillespie and I am married with 2 children. I live in Annascaul Co Kerry, Ireland.
Having travelled worldwide since graduating I settled back in Ireland in 2000 working in IT related areas until 2016.
In 2021 my wife and I set up a cafe in the village where we focus on community. We have been working with people that are similar minded people that would like to improve our village and local area
The local community center was closed alot during COVID and so we have been able to add events that include mindfulness, drama, art for children and adults. We also offer eco and food diversity themes ,
The cafe has an Events rooms which is open to anyone that would like to do a workshop or offer a social include program.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
By offering Death Cafe on the Dingle peninsula I believe it will offer a really good outlet to people that may wish to talk about death.

We held an informal death cafe on Aug 26th where 7 people attended. We discussed issues relating to undertakers, palitive care professionals, Avoiding Death and not turning from all that's dying. We spoke about facing it and mourning it. Grieve it. Let it blow your heart open. This is the doorway to a new world.
We will continue to look at new ideas of death and how other are thinking about this subject . What new things can each of us learn and discover
