About Gypsy Artemis:
Sacred Hunger, run by Gypsy Artemis, was one of Australia's first ever end of life business not directly related to the funeral industry, and Gypsy ran the 3rd ever Death Cafe in Australia. At the time (2012) she was well ahead of the rest of the culture, trying to positively influence and support people's experiences with death and dying, by not only providing Doula Services to those who are dying, and their families, but also by offering death-focused workshops and events to the community. Her work at the time can be seen via:

Trying to change the culture so early on in the movement was like "pushing shit up hills" so Gypsy focused her attention on raising her new baby, solo. She then morphed her then EOL business to one focusing on "ritual and ceremony for all life phases".
Now living with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer (terminal) Gypsy is still interested in facilitating vital conversations about end of life, with a new perspective post diagnosis.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
An intense passion for and interest in death and dying, underpinned by the belief that if we were all conscious of our own mortality, we'd live more richer, deeper, and meaningful lives.
What would you like your legacy to be?
