About Death Cafe Greater Manchester:

Death Cafe Greater Manchester is an opportunity for the people of Manchester to gather and discuss death, breaking down the barriers with the taboos and stigmas surrounding the subject.

We hope to facilitate the normalisation of talking about the subject of death as part of life, giving people a safe space to discuss their views in a positive way without prejudice, shame or influence.

This is a free event hosted by members of the Remembrance Funeral Community Services team at the community meeting space based at our premises in Hattersley, Hyde, Manchester. We also have another private meeting space in Manchester City Centre's Northern Quarter.

Refreshments of tea, coffee, cake and a glass of wine will be complimentary to attendees.

We sat and spoke for 2 hours about many different subjects surrounding death, religion, nature and education. We enjoyed some tea and cake and left wanting to meet up again as soon as possible.

We will host our third meet up within the next ...

We prepared for Death Cafe on the 31st buying a mass of cake and wine and were promptly set up for 6:30pm.

Initially, just 2 other members of staff from our ...
