About Allison Mitch:
I am a holistic healthcare practitioner that recognizes the need for wellbeing across the individual (bodymindspirit) with a diverse educational background, including wildlife ecology (MS), yoga teacher training (RYT 500), doctorate of physical therapy (DPT), reiki master, ordained reverend, shamanic practitioner, sexuality counselor/educator/coach, and trained in herbalism.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I have been interesested in facilitating a Death Cafe for years secondary to my compassion for the dying (all of us), my recognition that death is a part of everything (we are always changing), and my understanding that de-stigmatizing death will enhance an appreciation of life. However, I have not had the availability for additional in-person meetups. With the Covid-19 slow down and conversion of many activities to virtual offerings, I want to take the opportunity to offer these discussions in my local community in a more accessible, virtual format.
