About Claudia Coenen:
As a thanatologist, I am interested in talking with people about death, end of life issues and bereavement. When the library director at the Claverack Free Library asked me if I wanted to help with a Death Cafe, I was all for it.
We will have our first Cafe in December 2019.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
We need to demystify the conversation about death, dying and bereavement.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would those I leave behind to remember that I did the best I could, that I took tragedy and transformed it into a full life. In the process, I hope I have helped others.
Thoughts for sharing:
We will all die and we all will experience the death of people we love. It would be better if we talked about it in a healthy way.
