Maddie Denton is a fourth year student at the University of Edinburgh, studying for an MA in Social Anthropology. Having been to many lectures and talks on death growing up, it seemed only natural to study death for her undergraduate dissertation. She is looking to get people talking about death,and to change the perception of death as a taboo in modern Western society.
