About Amanda Lovitt Funeral Celebrant:

I am a Funeral Celebrant living in the South West of Western Australia.  I believe that death is a part of life, and that we should celebrate each life when it ends just as we do when it begins.

I am looking forward to talking about death openly and honestly and helping people in the area.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

My role as a Funeral Celebrant leads me to talking to people often about the funeral of a loved one.  Far too often the death was not discussed, not made open and honest and happy.

I feel I can help bridge the two together.

I have suffered loss and dealt with grief myself and feel that I can help others by facilitating open and honest discussion about what we will all inevitably do - Die

What would you like your legacy to be?

I want people to be energized and inspired by me.

I want people to remember me for who I was not for what I did.

I want to make my life full of purpose and my death to be as matter of fact and positive as possible.

Thoughts for sharing:

"Your'e going to be Horizontal for Eternity, there is no need to start early"
