About Lisa Lovelight:
Hi, I am Lisa. I spent over 12 years as a hospice nurse, sitting with people and families at end of life. Now I work as a death doula and end-of-life guide, and I offer grief transformation work through Rapid Resolution Therapy.
My work is about helping people meet death- their own, or a loved one's- with more presence and less fear, and helping the grieving clear and resolve what's keeping them stuck, so they can live fuller, more conscious lives.
I believe open conversations about death change how we live now, and how we show up for each other.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
What brings me to Death Cafe is a deep curiosity and fascination with the transition from this life to whatever may come next. Everyone holds their own beliefs about death and what lies beyond, and I am genuinely interested in learning from others perspectives, questions and even fears. I also hope to use that curiosity to foster a space where people feel comfortable to explore a topic that many consider taboo and to encourage open, thoughtful dialogue about death and dying.
What would you like your legacy to be?
i would like my legacy to be that I have helped people live more consciously and feel less alone, and helped them to approach death with dignity and beauty for a life well lived.
Thoughts for sharing:
Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it.
