Dr. Holland is a sociology professor who teaches college courses on death and dying. 

What brings you to Death Cafe?

My students and I are exploring new ways to destigmatize discussions about death.

What would you like your legacy to be?

I want to leave the world a better place for my students. My hope is that a few, any small number, of the students that I have had the privilege of teaching will retain just one nugget of knowledge that they can take with them for the rest of their lives. I will certainly take their memory with me for the rest of my life.
