About Andrea Skitch:
Hello!
I'm a Grief Specialist, a Death Doula, and a Yogi. I've had a therapy practice in Toronto, Canada, for over 15 years, helping people navigate their own psyche.
I sing with the Threshold Choir in Toronto, and I volunteer with Bridge C 14 to assist people who are utilizing MAiD support.
I feel my purpose is to assist people in dying well. I also feel that healing happens in connection to others... and a bit of chocolate helps ;)
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I've attended Death Cafes in the past and always found the conversations to be profound, and the people to be very heart-centred. I love hosting groups and facilitating conversations so the two go well together! I hope you'll join us if you're in Toronto.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would like to be remembered as a warm, compassionate, powerful healer who has helped people face the ultimate journey with dignity, grace and caliber.
Thoughts for sharing:
I take comfort in the spiritual teachings about death and dying from Kundalini Yoga, Sikhism, Buddhism, and other wisdom lineages. I love learning and sharing these teachings with others.
