About Raiya Iverson:
I am one of 2 facilitators for this Death Cafe. I have been a death doula (and birth doula and student midwife) for many years and currently offer a course to teach others to be death doulas. My co-facilitator is technically my local "competition" who also teaches a death doula course and we are coming together to open a safe space in our community for the anyone to talk and process thoughts about death.
With all that said, we understand we aren't to be promoting our courses within the Death Cafe. we just hope to create a safe space for the topic of death to be shared among the community.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
It is a natural place for myself and my co-facilitator to be. Talking about death is what we do.
What would you like your legacy to be?
My legacy is Love.
