About April Tacey:
I am a new Home Funeral Guide and an RN of 30 yrs, with 18 yrs. working in the oncology field. I want to facilitate people who want to be active and consciously choosing the way they interact and interface with the world around their death, the dying process and how they are treated before, during and after their death. Being present to oneself and your desires in death is sacred work, one I want to empower others to be engaged in.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I've been in conversations with countless people who are afraid to die, who struggle with their CA treatments, their pain, their familie's fears and judgements around their imminent death, and no longer want to facilitate their struggle for life in vain. I want to work with people who are consciously moving into the next stretch of their journey; death and the great mystery beyond.
