About Rowan Armstrong:
Hi, I'm Rowan.
I have always had an interest in death and what may happen afterwards. Death is something we experience daily. From news stories to personal losses.
I believe that we need to be able to talk about death freely, openly and without fear. Breaking this taboo about something we are going to experience first-hand I feel allows us to live life to a deeper level.
Exploring this topic doesn’t bring death closer just has having car insurance doesn’t bring an accident closer. Talking about death and be a rich and fulfilling experience
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I host Death Cafes to help normalise talking about death and break the power of a taboo. I am also an end of life doula and a grief coach. Helping people to explore death, even think about their own death I feel helps us to connect to others whom are grieving.
I am also fascinated about the stories and thoughts other have about death and dying from all sort of different cultures. I love a deep conversation and nothing I have found goes as deep as taking about death.
What would you like your legacy to be?
For my legacy I hope that I have not made the world a worse place. I hope that I trod lightly on this plane and have spread some joy to others.
