About Susan @evolve:
my interest in Death Cafe began as i became more involved in grief and death.
in the past few years i have lost my husband, father and brothers,
I believe all this pain must be used to help others.
I have become a lived 'expert' about death and regularly talk about death and dying to help others.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
i noticed that so many who are grieving have no one to talk to because they are told to "get over it." sadly, they turn to strangers on social media to discuss their emotions and memories.
I believe the best gift we can give society is to shatter the taboo about death.
we now talk about many subjects which were once taboo like mental health & sexual orientation.
why not normalize the conversation about death?
it's the one taboo we shall all experience.
let's talk about death so we can celebrate life!

Thoughts for sharing:
the gift of loving others comes with the knowledge that we shall experience great grief.
we should never be forced to grieve alone because society is afraid to allow us to talk about death. the lonliness epidemic is real.
toxic positivity is not helpful.
let's normalize the conversation & shatter the taboo about death
