I am part of a wellness team to promote physical and mental wellness in the valley - and across the nation!
I am a family counselor at a cemetery and am working towards getting my license to be a Funeral Director.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I have found in this industry that death is hard to talk about with some families. Most people don't want to talk about the inevitable - it feels taboo to them. I want to bring awareness to this topic and to have it feel comfortable for others.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would like to give back to my community - plain and simple. I don't want to be known as someone who is selfish and materialistic. I want to be know as a person who was humble and who genuinely showed care and affection to others.
Thoughts for sharing:
My advice is to always do your research. Reach out to your local office directors and counselors for any grief material you may need! And of course, if you are grieving, utilize the services that are available to you. You are not in this process alone!
