About North Tyneside Virtual Death Cafe:
I am a trained Soul Midwife and one of the most rewarding aspects of my work is starting conversations about death and helping people to think positively about the reality of our own mortality.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I have attended 3 Death Cafes, one as a facilitator. A recent virtual death Cafe proved successful and l believe that the time is right to bring this to my local area.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I would hope my legacy would be that l have lived life to the full.
Thoughts for sharing:
We have 5 tasks before we die.
1.To thank those who have played a significant role in our lives
2.To ask forgiveness of those we have wronged.
3. To forgive those who have wronged us.
4. To say "I love you" to those closest to us.
5. To say goodbye.
We don't have to wait until we are dying to begin this work.

Death Cafe write up: North Tyneside online Death Cafe

Karen and Helen hosted their first Death Cafe together at this event. It was, we agreed, a success and we are keen to host more in the future. The hosting part was the easy bit; once everyone got comfy and had heard the introduction (about the aims of the Death Cafe movement) the conversation flowed and didn't stop!
Looking forward to meeting new (and old) cafe companions. We will host these 4 times each year; Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.
