About Bob Coulson, Pet Companion Chaplain:
I am a pet companion chaplain who listens to your pet loss story, confidentially on zoom or by phone.
I became a trained pet companion chaplain after the death of my one of a kind, beloved pet who taught me so muc about love and life.
How to love in the moment not beholden to the past or future, to love more deeply on a heart and spirtual level, and how to give the gift of love sacraficed to relieve quality of life suffering, through the gift of euthanasia.
My loss experience taught me alot about the human-animal bond, contining bonds in afterlife, resilency to love another animal, not replace my friend, and to normalize and socialize my grief to prevent private, prolonged disenfranchised grief.
I sit with others in their pain and listen to their story of a previous or pending loss. When asked I provide a blessing, a prayer, or potential support resource.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I have experinced several Death Cafe's to include an animal death cafe. I think there is a need for pet and animal Death Cafes and I want to help fill that gap. There is no sacred space to speak about pet and animal death and I intend to co-create that sacred space to speak to honor the human-animal bonds.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I served people and animals, well.
