What brings you to Death Cafe?
An interest in diving into deeper inquiry on the topic of deaht and dying. I believe that death is one of the most pressing issues of our time and that my generation should help in reintegrating this topic into our daily lives.

We held a very beautiful inquisitive space on a sunny afternoon. The six of us dove into the topic of what it means to die a "good death", and how the medicalization of the dying process often blurs the line between when the care is improving standards of living, and when it is diminishing it.

Death Cafe write up: Bali Death Cafe

We gathered on a cloudy afternoon at the Bridge space in Bali, halfway through the electricity went out which only added to the feeling of intimacy that had been growing. We had a mid-sized group of 10 people.
We mostly discussed our thoughts and feelings towards having conversations with loved ones about wishes for our own deaths and how to possibly initiate that conversation. Another topic that we touched on was how each person felt about their mortality, and how precious seizing the present moment is.
