About Beth Almerini:
I have been a hospice nurse for 30 years, and an end of life doula for five. I have spent most of my life holding space for the dying and their families, and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am also a photographer, a teacher of Nondual Kabbalistic Healing, and I tend a garden full of English roses.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I've seen so many people approaching death with fear and horror, mostly because they have no idea what to expect. I believe knowing what to expect and normalizing death instead of doing everything we can to avoid it, helps to make a difficult time a bit easier and less frightening for all involved.
What would you like your legacy to be?
To have left the world with a bit more light, beauty, and love.
