What brings you to Death Cafe?
I believe communication around death should be normalized since death is the inevitable, irrevocable other-side of our human journey. I am a humble and continuous student of mortality.
Though I have formal training in certain aspects of death-care,I am simply a person who asks questions and holds compassionate space around these final moments. My intent is to reclaim beauty within the death passage through critical thought and participation.
What would you like your legacy to be?
By my end, I would like to leave behind a trail: objects of art and handmade tokens that represent my conversations with the other-side (ancestors and guides and the higher self within us all) - so that my children and those who see these pieces will be inspired to carry forth an intentional life with the courage to participate in mystery. May my living be a testament to beauty and truth, a realization of the sacred relationship between human and earth. May the discipline of worship, self expression, and joy be carried on through my memory.
Thoughts for sharing:
“Praise and the depth of our grief expressed for one another keeps the world in love. Love is health.”
