About Michelle McCann:
I am in mid 50's and have recently gone through a lifestyle change, and started a very fulfilling carrer as a funeral celebrant. My life is less hectic now I don't work in an office and I find I have more time for my elderly mother and myself to persue new hobbies and interests.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I am a funeral celebrant, and find that given the chance and a safe space to talk about death and their loved one, my family's begin to talk a little more freely. I feel the death cafe is a good point to help people to discuss death in non hushed tones and feel they may offend or upset people around them.
What would you like your legacy to be?
My children have gained from me, a happy life need not be filled by material possessions, but at the same time if you want something you are the only person who can achieve it. Never say or do anything to another person you wouldn't want said or done to you.
Thoughts for sharing:
That nothing lasts forever, even if you are going through a bad time, life can and does change.
If you don't do it now, when will you do it ?
