We had such a wonderful meeting this month. We had much laughing, many stories and exploring our approach when visiting others that are on the threshold of their death. Much food for thought until next we meet. I look forward to seeing everyone in May!

We are sorry to see Stephanie leave our hosting team for Death Cafe- Warren. Though we are happy for her as her life is filled with her work in Hospice and a new marraige.
We are pleased to announce that we have a new member of our host team. Welcome Joe Knight! Joe is a Board Member for the National End-of-Life Doula Association, a Certified Medical Hypnotherapist and an End of Life Doula. We are looking forward to gain from your expertise and wonderful energy.

To our surprise we had 14 people at our first Death Cafe, none of which were the people that had responded on Facebook that they were interested in attending, so they were all new to us. They had either seen posters or calendar events in local papers.
Despite a little confusion as to how we should organize the group in the beginning, we settled in for a great discussion. Our evaluations asked for 3 words to describe their experience. Here are some of them: Welcoming, Informative, Healthy, Comfortable, Flowing, Emotional, Aware, Touching and Enlightened. Two people even specifically wrote that they would return! We look forward to it ...
