About Continuity of Life:
Hello, we are Lori Marshall and Mark Sanders.
We are two happy mediums, intuitives and life coaches that desire to assist in a greater understanding and comfort of the so called death and its process.
From our perspective death and dying is a natural transformation yet can leave such a void for the living. We hope to help bridge the physical and the non-physical to benefit the souls on both sides of life.
An understanding of death creates a foundation for a richer, more fulfilling life.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
A desire to speak and listen openly about the natural aspect of being. We hope to be beneficial in the awarness and acceptance aspects.
What would you like your legacy to be?
Compassion and love.

The German children’s book author and illustrator Wolf Erlbruch offers a wonderfully warm and assuring answer in Duck, Death and the Tulip (public library) — a marvelous addition to the handful of intelligent and imaginative children’s books about death and loss.

A beautifully written ode to the experience of a first time attendee. We would like to thank Liz Langley for her efforts and John Underwood for creating Death Cafe. It has been and continues to be one of our most passionate projects as facilitators.

Practitioners question: Group getting too large!

Our Death Cafe today had 40 people even though we had 2 events this month to try and accommodate! I have found that smaller is better as far as intimacy. Question, what do I do as a facilitator to keep the ball rolling and growing but make sure everyone attending ...

New Blog post: The Joy of being a Death Cafe Facilitator!
Posted by Continuity of Life on Sept. 21, 2014, 9:54 a.m.
It never ceases to amaze me how people can come together, many and most as strangers, sit in a circle and allow themselves to all become connected at some level. As a Death Cafe facilitator I have found each event to be unique and very interesting. We had our 6th Death Cafe yesterday with a crowd of 42, our first one had 15.
Many who attand have no real idea what to expect or perhaps ...

Our perspectives on the 2nd Death Café
Death Café Sarasota May 17th, 2014 - Radiance of Sarasota
Lori’s Take:
Buzzwords of the day -
ego, home funeral, no fear of death, mediumship, afterlife, in-breath & out-breath, death with dignity, euthanasia, assisted suicide, hemlock society, beautiful death…
Of our glorious 17 individuals, the majority of our group expressed a large understanding of death and the dying process, the idea of the continuity of life, and the belief in the strong possibility of our loved ones still being with us or reachable after their physical departure.
The level of awareness was high and the group was well read and brought vast amounts ...

Death Cafe write up: Sarasota's First Death Cafe
Posted by Continuity of Life on April 15, 2014, 2:37 p.m.
As it was our 1st Death Café experience as facilitators and participants we were curious and excited as to how it might unfold. We kept it true to DC format and opened with a brief explanation of what a Death Café was, the founder Jon Underwood, and the details about the organization itself. We then went over what a DC is not… a grief support meeting, a place for self-promotion or a meeting with an agenda.
What an amazing event! Sarasota’s 1st Death Café was an astonishing success. 20 people were in the room aging from 11 to 76 and from all walks of life. We had ...
