About this Death Cafe
Candy and Candy are both passionate about opening up the barriers to talking about grief, death and dying, and death cafes are in the heart of the community facing these barriers.
People often feel more able to talk to strangers about these topics than family - we hope that, by holding space to hold these conversatins, we are giving people courage to talk about these things with loved ones.
About Candy and Candy
Candy P is an end of life doula and has worked in care homes and hospitals for the better part of a decade. She is trained in end of life planning.
Candy W works with Age UK and has run workshops with people with mentla health difficulties, helping them work through bereavement.
Both are part of the Brown Bread Collective, a group in Medway working to break down the taboos around grief, death and dying in Medway - we recently ran an art installation for Death MAtters week in a community health space with MCH.
