About this Death Cafe
We are holding a Medway Death Cafe to provide a comfortable welcoming space for people to share their views and experiences around death and dying.
We hope that these meetings break down some of the stigma and fear around death and dying and support people to have fuller more open conversations about death.
There will be home-made baking, tea and coffee, and good conversation about anything from the song we'd want played at our funerals, to our experiences around loss and bereavement.
About Candy and Candy
These Death Cafe's are facilitated by two Candy's from the Medway Towns.
Candy Penfold is studying to become a death doula and works with various charities throughout Medway.
Candy Worf runs peer support groups for people in later life, experiencing loneliness and isolation, in extra care housing across London.
