About this Death Cafe

This is a voluntary, non-profit exercise (no sponsors) initiated by David after he heard a BBC radio programme on Death Cafes.

We weren't sure how to register and filled in some forms on your website, but may have done it incorrectly!

Held our inaugural Death Cafe on Sunday 23 Sept 2018 with 12 people attending. Quoted the history and Guidelines and has a very productive, free-flowing discussion. Will continue each month from now on.

Contacted one DC in Auckland which was very helpful with advice.

Got some positive PR in our local newspaper (How do I send you a copy?)

David is a retired journalist and tourism marketing director. Worked for Tourism New Zealand (Manager, Japan and Hong Kong) for 15 years, Ansett New Zealand, & magazines and newspapers.

Steffen has over 20 years in psychotherapy, counselling, mental health and social services in New Zealand and Germany.
