We gather as one single circle—no breakout groups, no awkward icebreakers, and no forced therapy. Just one shared conversation, one person speaking at a time, and the rest of us actually listening. You can share your dark wit, ask the unanswerable, or simply sit with a hot mug and say nothing at all.

Hosted at Chartham Holistic Kindergarten. While our daily work centers on early childhood, opening our doors for Death Cafe is our way of offering a warm, quiet space for the community...complete with tea, cake, and zero agenda.

About Milly

Owner, founder, and director of Chartham Holistic Kindergarten..an early-years setting rooted in Steiner Waldorf principles, where life is treated as a sacred, unfolding journey from start to finish.

Equal parts practical, deeply warm, and utterly unshockable, Milly brings a rare mix of grounded presence and dry humor to the table. Spending her days surrounded by the wonder of early childhood gives her a refreshingly clear, zero-nonsense perspective on the full arc of human existence. She hosts Death Cafe not to dwell in the dark, but to hold a comfortable, hospitable space where people can drop the taboos, pour a cup of tea, and talk about the end of life with absolute honesty, zero judgment, and a slice of cake.
