About this Death Cafe
Pets occupy a unique space in our hearts, and losing them can have a deep effect that is frequently overlooked.
This "extra special" Myrtle Beach Death Café at Chapin Memorial Library will bring together pet-lovers community to help normalize the subject of pet loss and encourage compassionate dialogue through open discussion and sharing within a safe, non-judgmental environment.
Sharing our experiences and emotions connected to the illness and passing of a cherished pet can also serve as a meaningful way to begin conversations about our own mortality and death.
Our meeting room with limited capacity is intentionally selected. We've had between 10 and 12 persons at the Death Cafes in Myrtle Beach and that precisely the recommendation of the Death Cafe's founder because it strikes a balance between fostering intimate, meaningful conversation and ensurine diverse perspectives.
About Chapin Memorial Library
Chris, a Death Cafe veteran, will team with Brian to facilitate this new kind of Death Cafe.
Every Death Cafe features totally different personalities with totally different stories, experiences and contributions. While this is not a support group, the people who have attended are quite supportive in discussing all subjects presented ... all while enjoying cake, coffee, tea and water.
