Our one hour gatherings are always unique, guided entirely by who is in the room. Whether we are a small circle of two or a larger group of ten or more, each gathering brings a fresh and meaningful perspective.
Come as You Are: Share your personal thoughts, or simply listen. On Zoom, you are always welcome to keep your camera on or off.
Personal Perspective: We speak from our own experiences using "I" statements. We aren't here to question, fix, judge, or offer advice.
A Safe, Sacred Space: This is not grief counseling or therapy—it is a supportive space to share personal thoughts and reflect. We embrace quiet moments that allow deeper insights to surface.
Confidentiality: What is learned at Death Cafe leaves Death Cafe; what is said at Death Cafe stays at Death Cafe.

Carole Silvoy is a Life Transitions Doula, trained as an Certified EOL Doula, Holding Space Specialist, and Death Educator. Her philosophy supports Death Positivity and a Good Death.
She's held Cafes in person as well as in the Virtual World Second Life for six years. Meeting on Zoom creates a space where the virtual and in-person styles can combine.
Leading Death Cafe, Carole is an active listener, helping people hear themselves and others, and to be heard in return.
