About this Death Cafe
Why hold a Death Cafe? That's a fair question.
We invite you to something truly unique: the first-ever Death Cafe in our area, a safe, welcoming space where people—strangers, neighbors, friends—gather to talk openly about death over coffee, tea, and cake.
This isn't a grief support group or a lecture; it's a conversation where we can explore thoughts, fears, stories, and questions about death and dying in a relaxed, respectful atmosphere.
By facing the topic many of us tend to avoid, we often find it helps us live more fully. If you've ever wondered how others think about death—or just want a space to talk about it without judgment—this is your invitation.
About Chapin Memorial Library
Brian L. Long, who's facilitated over 75 Death Cafes in southcentral Pannsylvania, will be facilitating this first ever Death Cafe at Myrtle Beach's public library, the Chapin Memorial Library.
Space is limited due to room size; so you'll have to make a reservation.
