About this Death Cafe

Death Cafe Essen is a project under the umbrella of Holy Grief Art. We as the participators of Holy Grief Art want to bring our experiences into a open discussion about death and dying.

With this guiding principle, we aim to create a group-based exchange about death, grief, and life without an agenda, goals, or fixed topics. The Death Cafe is more of a free conversation group than a grief support or counseling session. Additionally, the Death Cafe in Essen is not just a pure grief cafe. Instead, it seeks to fill the gap between grief work and other social connections, serving as a public platform for lively exchange.

The host Holy Grief Art is a non-profit and voluntarily supported initiative in the domain of grief management and arts.

The facilitator is Unperfekthaus.The facilitator is Unperfekthaus. The entry fee is completely to pay for the entrance of the unperfekthaus and it's gastronomic services. The entry fee is not paid for the Death Cafe. The Death Cafe is completely free.
