About this Death Cafe

As part of Dying Matters Week, Islington Death Cafe welcomes you to talk about any aspect of death, dying and grief in a warm, supportive atmosphere, over coffee, tea and cake.

When funding for Death Cafes in Islington ended, volunteers who had previously facilitated regular Death Cafes at the Almedia Theatre Cafe decided they wanted to continue offering the service.

Like all Death Cafes, there will be free-ranging discussion with no agenda or aims, where everyone has the chance to be heard or to just listen.

Delicious home-made cake will be provided free, tea and coffee can be bought at the bar.

Please email to book your place. Sadly, this venue has stairs that may make it inaccessible to people with mobility issues. Future Death Cafes at more accessible venues are planned.

About Death Cafe Islington

Death Cafe Islington is hosted by  Pru, Joy, Alison, Helen, Ellen, Carolyn and Dorothy -  all experienced volunteers  who previously facilitated Death Cafes for Islington Age UK and Future Matters.
