About this Death Cafe

This death cafe is open to all ages encountering any facet of death themselves or vicariously with a loved one. Death comes in many forms from the loss of a job, a break up, the passing of a beloved fur baby, divorce, and more. Many of us come from a point of view, or space, where death was something that was brushed underneath the rug and so when death touched our lives, there was an unfamiliar terriorty waiting to be navigated. Death can be experienced alone or with others. This cafe is open to supporting esoteric approaches to coping with death.

About Fenyx

Hello, my name is Fenyx and I have a passion for researching funerary rites across many cultures and the supporting herbal allies assisting the human transition to the after life. I enjoy being able to hold space for the community to engage in conversations surrounding death and providing a safe space to seek support with others. I view death the same way my mesoamerican ancesters did, the second leg of our human journey. I maintain a safe space for LGBQTI+ and BIPOC folx and a haven for those with religious wounds to deconstruct their old conditioned views. My life lends itself as a mental health coordinator, candle maker, peer support specialist, herbalist and land protector, aspiring death doula, and student of the tonalamatl.
