About this Death Cafe
We have experienced the positive change of feelings about living, loss, dying and death the past three years, due in part to participation in Death Cafe. We are grateful to the founders of Death Cafe and to those supporting this ongoing gift for us all.
Death Cafe's offer the opportunity to meet in a confidential, safe and caring environment to discuss living, death and dying. Thoughts, feelings and experiences are all relevant. All people are welcome.
The Death Cafe model, followed all over the world, is always free with no pre-formulated agenda. No planned questions, themes or wish to steer anyone in a particular direction.
This is not a counseling or grief support group. Although grief may be discussed. Many report Death Cafe participation has reduced their anxiety about death and dying (their own or their loved ones') and can enhance the way we live in the present. Most people leave a Death Cafe feeling connected and uplifted.
