About this Death Cafe

I am passionate about death and dying and would love to get everyone talking about their own mortality and to consider not death but the continuation of physical to non-physical form. Death Cafe is a safe, non-judgmental and non-religious affiliated gathering of people who will discuss death and dying over a cup of tea/coffee and cake with a final goal to live a positive life. Death Cafe is not a bereavement support or grief counselling setting. We do not provide any information related to death and dying. We are non-profit and accept donations to help purchase cake, coffee, and tea and help spread to other localities within the Algarve. I would be delighted for your particpation and future engagement to get Portugal talking about mortality.

About Natercia Godinho Walsh

Natercia retired from the National Health Service in the UK where she worked many years as a Research Psychologist Manager, Psychiatric Nurse and Health Care Assistant. She worked many years in the USA and delivered Trauma programmes to war zones. She is passionate about transfromation and the possibility of bringing healthy dialogues to Portugal on the subject of death and dying.
