About this Death Cafe

We are running our Death Cafe to give people a safe space to come and talk about the topic of death and break down the barriers surrounding the subject in a positive way. 

The event will be casual and held in the community meeting space made available at the hosts main premises. 

There will be complimentary refreshments available on the evening of tea, coffee, cake and wine. 

After introductions, the conversation will be led by the attendees with the hosts keeping the discussion steered in a positive way.

Tracey and Gauri are part of the team at Remembrance Community Funeral Services in Hyde, Manchester. 

After experiencing death frequently within their family and friend circles throughout their life, they felt a space should be created for people to speak freely about the subject in order to normalise the subject and steer it away from the traditional taboos and stigmas attached to it. 

As a subject that frequently comes up within their friend circle, they felt it was time to open the discussion up to everyone willing to join.
