About this Death Cafe

After summer we've decided to hold a  Death Cafe, for all beings. Think of the way trees give us assurance. Think of people, domestic animals, koalas, kangaroos and birds. It's natural to be reeling with siginficant loss to our society. 1.25 billion animals are estimated to have died. We've chosen 'The Studio of Possibilities' as a safe space to  talk. Do come along and join others who want to chat together, knowing the reality of death, grief and loss. At the close of the night we’ll leave a little more in touch with a bunch of strangers, and the feelings and experiences that anyone can feel in 2020 Australia. 

About Annie & Clare

Annie & Clare met at a Death Cafe in 2017 and have keep talking about the value of talking about death since. Annie's been a Death Cafe host in Melbourne for ten years, and is author of Death, a love project, a guide to exploring the life in death and finding the way together.' Clare is a host extraordinaire, having headed up Laneway Learning from 2017-2019. She facilitates women's circles and is intrigued by mortality. Annie & Clare share a love of upcycling and random crafts.
