Want a safe space to talk about death, dying, what it means in the time of the pandemic? How is it shaping our lives and our futures? What are we grieving right now? How do we participate, react or incorporate serious illness, death and dying into our lives as we come upon that experience? Want frank talk? Here we are. And we have been here since 2018. About Candee Lucas
I am a Jesuit-trained-and-inspired spiritual companion to the dying and their families, friends and caretakers and those they leave behind.
I hold an undergraduate degree in sociology from Drake Univeristy, a law degree from JFKU School of Law and an M.A. in Pastoral Ministries from Santa Clara University. I trained at Sequoia Hospital, Palo Alto VA Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital and was a hospice vigil volunteer.
I currently serve as Staff Chaplain at O'Conner and St. Louise Hospitals and as Aftercare Coordinator for the Catholic Cemeteries-Diocese of San Jose.
