About this Death Cafe
Whilst the Covid-19 crisis has prompted people to confront death and what it means for them, it’s crucial we don’t feel alone with these thoughts.
Redbridge Libraries, Newcastle Libraries and Kirklees Libraries would like to invite you to our first Online Death Cafe.
Make sure you grab some tea, cake, and a comfy chair, and join us to share your thoughts and stories about life, death and loss. Everyone is welcome, no prior experience of a death cafe is necessary. Our Death Cafe's will be a safe non-judgemental friendly space - if you prefer to listen then that's totally fine with us.
This event will be run via Zoom, if you think you might need tech support, please log in 10 mins early, and we’ll do our best to help.
About Redbridge, Newcastle & Kirklees Library Services
We are a collection of Death Positive library services based in Redbridge-East London, Newcastle & Kirklees in the North. We are collaborating with the University of Northumbria to explore the concept of libraries as death positive spaces.
Using our libraries as safe, trusted and unbiased spaces, we deliver events, workshops, exhibitions and arts installations which celebrate life and help break down taboos and remove barriers to talking about death, dying and loss.
