Everyone enjoyed tea and cake before we began. We had a large group and wonderful participation at Friendly House. There were enough participants for three tables. David and Scott facilitated and Joan assisted. David can add a briefing on his table, but I thoroughly enjoyed my group. We spent a long time discussing NDE. Two attendees had personal experiences, and they explained them in detail. The remainder of the people asked many probing questions, and the conversation was intriguing. The remainder of the meeting we discussed loss and grief. There were lots of recent losses and some processing was necessary. Members were able to listen and support each other. Hospice philosophy and community resources were offered. We had a long discussion of VSED and MAID. Community resources were offered. We discussed Advanced Directives and POLST. It was an enriching Death Cafe, and everyone was invited to return.
