YES, you can hold a Death Cafe with only 2 people !

Well, I now have the absolute proof that it does not matter how many people attend a Death Cafe to make it a super special event.

We were 2 and looking back on it, it is as if it was went to be that way because what we shared in our intimate Death Cafe was so rich, powerful, reflective of our respective experiences of life and death that we are both still integrating our exchange a few days later !

I am so looking forward to the April SW London Death Cafe I can assure you!

I went to a cafe in Putney to talk about death. I've been involved in some home deaths and burials but never really sat down to talk about them or about death in general.  This Death Cafe was unusual - it was just Suzanne and myself, which allowed us to have a long one-to-one.  Suzanne is a brilliant conversationalist around death. She brings many experiences of connections beyond time and space at the moment of death, as well as deep study in recent neuroscientific research around death, life and consciousness.  Our conversation ranged from the deaths of some people close to us, through being with pain and grief, across the alignment of heart and mind as a crucial doorway to the non-material, to the questions of what is consciousness and what is it that is alive. An exceedingly rich and soul-nourishing connection!"

The power of "just" two

How wonderful that the two of you dove into the Cafe conversation, "just" the two of you. Being able to be fully present to each other is so powerful: an opportunity not to be missed. Have you noticed how frequently Cafe experiences happen day-to-day? Conversations about death, dying, loss, pain, grief, are all around us -- but most of the time the person/people needing to talk and connect are shut down/off. The Cafes are providing such a crucial service and -- I believe -- will begin to radically change how these topics are approached and accepted. Thank you for affirming your Cafe a Due!!
