A write up of Death Cafe New York City
This October's Death Cafe NYC began with a fascinating set of questions concerning Green Burials. One of the attendees wanted to be cremated and grow a tree with her ashes. She was also concerned about her cremation being more environmentally friendly. Finally she wanted her ashes to be buried in the location she was in at the time of death. I referred her to Completed Life Initiative's website (www.completedlife.orgwww.completedlife.org).
Her next questions led to a wonderful discussion that pretty much dominated the rest of the hour:
1. Whether we believe that death is a punishment from God.
2. Whether there is a God.
3. Why we believe in a Heaven or Hell.
The ensuing discussion was one of our best discussions.
