FSJPCS Death Cafe

The FSJ Palliative Care Society hosted a small (11 people) but successful Death Cafe on June 1st.  The cafe, guided by Roz Smith - a local counsellor, had shorter but free flowing conversation about death and dying and how its impacts our lives.

Participants moved from group to group with about 4/5 changes during the course of the evening.  Conversations were focussed on the impact death has in our lives but the actual topics were very diverse, as is to be expected when addressing such a complex topic.

Participants agreed that this was a worthwhile endevour and so we will plan to have about 3 Death Cafes over the course of a year.  The next one will happen later in the fall.
