February Death Cafe
A write up of Death Cafe Iowa
For February’s Death Café Iowa we met at Palmers Deli & Market on Ingersoll. Buffy Peters and Becca Suvalsky (members of the Young Bereavement Professionals Group) facilitated the group. We had 6 people in attendance, 1 man and 5 women, and participants ranged in ages and professions. Several interesting topics were brought forward for discussion during this month’s death café. Topics included obituaries, the podcast “Adventures of Memento Mori”, and how our belief systems determine how we respond to death. Each group member shared openly and we had a great conversation. We look forward to more interesting and insightful conversations next month.
