About Cathryn:
I have lived in Leicester since 2003 and love the variety of opportunities for culture and conversation which the city offers. I moved here with my family after returning from working in Southern Africa as an educator.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I realised how unprepared we are as a society and as individuals for talking openly about difficult subjects after the death of close family members. I want to help to break down those taboos and support more open conversations. Death Cafe is the perfect vehicle to help people to engage in a safe and welcoming environment.
