About Don Morris:
It's a privilege and a pleasure to be involved in this transformative international movement.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
What brings me to the Cafe is my desire to walk my talk. To be more fully present to death, accepting of it, and to facilitate this for others~ For so long now... I've been looking to host a safe, upbeat, and nourishing venue where death, if desired, can be brought out of that old, decrepit orphanage (we'd prefer forgetting about, certainly never visiting) and adopted into the warmth of family and community.
What would you like your legacy to be?
Besides Frank Sinatra's song "I Did It My Way" I'd like my legacy to read, "Don joined others in doing what he could to change the conversation around death; to posiively effect how we live our dying; to humanize the care provided our beloved dead - both body and soul - and the manner in which we dispose of our sacred vessels with consideration for all including the earth/environment."
Don's heart felt efforts furthered the spiritualization and the balance of life on planet Earth!
Thoughts for sharing:
The morning before appearing on my first national news tv interiew in Nov 2013 to share about the Death Cafe... just before awakening I dreamt I was rushing toward a "white light." As this was happenning I heard a voice say, "life wants to wake you up to life!" What a privilege that was!
Yes, by me re-installing death as the outer most boundary of my physical existence I am slowly and surely waking up to life! The experience made me realize that through accepting death I can merge with the love I/we inherently am/are!!
The Death Cafe rockks!

We had a beautiful experience Sunday night Dec 8th! It was our 1st Death Cafe with a small number of peeps and we loved it! Blessed to have Michael Van der Kamp on piano and Katherine Muncaster sing a Diana Ross classic to start the evening off~
