About Sharon Glass:
I'm a retired relational pyschotherapitst with a lifelong curiosity about death. My first death expeience occurred when I was 5 years old. My cousin of the same age died in a tragic accident. I remember loving him but have no memory. of anyone talking with me about it. My daughter died several years ago. After that I read about death more and took an online trainig for death doulas in order to not only deal with my grief, but also to address my fears and explore my beliefs.
.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
Many people I encounter shy away from the topic of death, but once we begin, many are surprisingly eager to share their experiences and concerns. Learning about and discussing death & dying has become my passion. Doing so helps me appreciate how I have lived, look more closely at how I want to live and helps to open my heart.
What would you like your legacy to be?
The small, every day acts of kindness accumulate and radiate and grow geometrically. I'd like to think that mine vastly outnumbered my acts of ignorance
Thoughts for sharing:
"Love doesn't die
People do.
So when all that's left of me is love
give me away"
