About Ana B:
I encourage people to enjoy the time they have in this life. I primarily focus on coaching people around their own life and death often as it relates to the end of life of a loved one. The emotions around death are powerful and therefore worth examining and embracing. The hardest times in our lives can also be the ones that help us grow the most. We should never be encouraged to "get over" this time.
Due to my background, I also work with those who have experienced sudden death and law enforcement involved death. Helping people get unstuck and freed from the circumstances and stories are my specialty areas.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I hold a morning death cafe in Hillsborough, NC called Death and Donuts. It's hosted at The Snow Approach which is a critical and robust resource for folks experiencing brain change. I'd like to ensure people know there is a morning death cafe available for them in Hillsborough.
It's a very positive and rewarding experience. So far, everyone comes back as their schedule allows. It is a warm and loving enviornment, with space to say what wants or needs to be said.
What would you like your legacy to be?
I want people to know that there are safe places to say what can't be said and that no judgement will follow as they are human beings and held in love.
I want people who come to my death cafe to be so comfortable talking about death, that they make others feel safe enough to say what they are afraid to say, and know that it can be said and love will follow.
