About Amicus Mortis:

I am an end-of-life doula, caregiver trainer, and founder of Amicus Mortis. My work blends compassion, curiosity, and care—helping people live fully until they die. I hold space for vigil, legacy projects, living funerals, and the hard conversations we so often avoid.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I believe that by speaking openly about death, we invite more honesty, courage, and meaning into life. Death Cafés create community around the conversations many people are afraid to have—and I want to offer a safe circle where people can share, listen, and connect.

What would you like your legacy to be?

That I helped people face death with less fear and more peace. That I sparked kindness, curiosity, and a little benevolent mayhem in the world.

Thoughts for sharing:

“Talking about death won’t kill you—but it might help you live more fully.”
I believe death is not an end, but an invitation: to love deeper, to forgive sooner, to savor more.
